I'm still trying to figure out how to get my insurance quote received recently down. I live in Texas and talked to someone the other day and they said living in Texas could be the reason why my insurance quote was so high. Is this what you've experienced also. I mean is this a thing? I'm assuming it is but just want clarification on the matter from others who have had a possible similar experience.

    Yes. Different states, different rates.
    Could be quite different too.

I just got another quote from a broker here in texas. 32,000.. that's with 1 ticket and 1 accident. I wonder what the rates are in Arkansas? My grandmother lives there and I might be able to use her address or something along those lines. I've got to figure out some way to lower this. Over 2000 dollars a month for insurance is ridiculous, to say the least.

The state you live in, where in said state, where you park the equipment, where you run, what trailer you pull, credit score, years of experience, years of owning a truck, owning a home vs rent, how long you’ve been there, personal vehicle coverage and some other things I can’t think of at the moment also play a factor in insurance rates according to my agent

Texas and Louisiana will be highest rates on the country due to oil field accidents I was told.

Driving through the midland/odessa area I can understand it.
I live in BFE TN and have great credit. My 1st year through progressive was about 10-11000(I forget the exact number), after I added on general liability.

I have a buddy who just got his numbers and it’s 19.5k. That’s based out of Houston Texas with great credit.

Did he mention whether or not he had any accident or tickets on his record within the last 3 years?
