Lots of people here in different tax and financial situations...the owner of my company owns a 100 power units and 200 trailers, pays cash for everything.
I own 1 truck and totally different structure.

Not a girlfriend, not a pet, not a house, not a tool either. Don't make it sound like it is a power drill or a spade.

More like a work horse, a mule or an ox to farmers 200 years ago. Not so easy and fast to replace. When the animal died, they were facing starvation or serfdom at best.

Not a pet, not a girlfriend but to call it a tool is an understatement.

If you have a fairly reliable, pre emission , paid for truck, the time to trade is never!

just keep up with the repairs.

I know, I was being funny. Bought and paid for awhile back. I have zero plans of replacing it. But I have spent alot of money on it. Still just a work truck, nothing flashy.

This sounds bad on the surface, but can make sense to spend more on a truck than it’s worth.

If you like the truck, and it would cost you $100k to replace the truck, you can spend $40k on a $20k truck and still come out better off.

3-5 years for a new truck is about average,

old trucks (pre 00) are just big nuts and bolts and I’ll keep rebuilding them until the government says we can’t any more
