I don't really care about the Jared thing too much, in fact I just don't see the point in paying 10-12 bucks for a sandwich with 1/2 the meat than one I can make myself in 1 minute for about 1 dollar. And they don't even use real meat.

    I guess I'm just a cheapskate.

Let's not forget about the "bread" they use that they can't even call bread in Europe as it's so full of sugar that it qualifies as a pastry, not as a bread.
But yea, mostly I don't go because I'm cheap also. Carry a loaf of wheat bread and some lunch meat in the cooler and I can make a sandwich that tastes better and is healthier for 1/10 the cost.

Last day for Iron skillet in North Baltimore Ohio is today 4-19-21. They are doing IHOP switch and remodeling. Limited menu of food they have left. They are planning on opening IHOP by end of August.

I wonder if IHOP is paying them something to be their new "official" restaurant. Sorta like they do at stadiums...etc.

They signed a franchise agreement with IHOP that will potentially make them more profit than their own restaurants do. IHOP may draw more 4 wheelers and locals in the they had been getting.
When PFJ did their deal with Dennys, they got $xxx for each location, which Dennys paid to remodel. Then Dennys franchised them out and PFJ gets around 7% of the gross from Dennys as rent.

The Black bear diner the TA has been putting in some of the Petro locations is attracting a lot of the locals… Another one in Beaumont Texas had a line out the door on a Saturday with locals waiting to go in and eat

I like the paid parking. With the way I run my clock out having a guaranteed spot to park every night is nice.
When I’m tryna to put some $ in my pocket I’ll run my clock down to minutes and I don’t wanna catch a violation by not having a place to park.
It’s especially helpful when I end up with a pick up that forces me to run with all the solar powered drivers out here.

    bzinger Thanks this.

Hate to see the Truckstop in Osseo, Wisconsin is now a TA Express. The restaurant there is great, always parking available, good shower. I'm guessing the lot will be full now at night and full of trash. Smh
