Faul codes for 2012 frieghtliner cascadia, cummin ISX 15.

If it has oil, has coolant, cranks and runs down the road, run the #### out of it.

If you stop that truck every time the #### check engine light comes on, you’ll go broke.

 

Hand! Anything throwing codes needs to be looked at! There are more computer sensors on today's trucks than Carters has liver pills. One such sensor is not happy and as soon as you can get it looked at. I can't find any information online about fault code 3218. As long as the truck is running ignore it but make dang sure you write it up as soon as practical.

 

With a rig that old you should be able to grab a code reader pretty easily that can check and clear codes. While i know it doesnt help right now. It may be worth picking up. Half the codes an engine throws are things you can do yourself with a $20 walmart tool kit and some elbow grease. Even i can usually puzzle out how to fix things and i have all the mechanical skills of a drunk stoned spider monkey with a brain injury.

 

I have the same truck and engine as you ....its when the 2nd check engine light comes on that you need to be real worried.

 

There should be a 3228 code with that one, it is the NOx sensor problem, more likely the power supply module that I think the 2012 has is toasted by jump started.
