ESTES Express (5 Year Review)

Well, fellas, the time has come. Tomorrow is my first day at Estes. Will let you guys know how it went. Think my wife seen enough of me in the past few days anyway. Ready for me to get the heck on lol. Happy wife, happy life.

 

Which terminal.

 

Ellenwood, GA. I know Kao hates that terminal but this is all I got. Got to get it in.

 

Lol a guy told me this weekend, whoever came up with that needs their behind whooped.

 

Guys lord have mercy I’m coming on with Estes boys! Just worried about 10 year job history. I was having problems with two employers who are no longer in business. I talked with the terminal boss hopefully it does not hold me up.

Also does Estes want a ten year where I lived the past few years? I don’t even know where to begin I’ve lived quite a few places in 10 years.

 

How did your road test go after not having driven a manual for so long? Did you road test with Saia and Estes or only Estes (I saw you posted about Saia in the LTL forum section)?

As for your addresses, don't quote me on this but I'm wondering if you could just give the addresses that were on your tax returns for the past 10 years? I don't know if that would fly or not or how they determine your past addresses in the background checks.

I do know that whatever you put down for your addresses, it has to be official. Again don't quote me on this but I'm assuming "official" in this instance means where your mail was being sent to you by the USPS. So if you stayed with a friend for a month but your mail was still getting sent to the old address, then staying with your friend wouldn't count as being a past address for you.

I could be wrong, that's just my understanding of how it works.

Well my day went well so far. Did all my paperwork and road test (passed) and stuff. HR said I will get my driver number tomorrow. Looking good so far. Going in tomorrow for my ride along

 

How was your road test in the manual and have you had recent experience with driving a manual or has it been a while since you've driven one? Did you go far or just around the block?
