Heavy spec W900 with a Cat. You don't buy a truck like that looking for fuel economy.

Lol. Like the Turbo3000 or whatever it was. Made a good sliding sinker.

You’d be better off finding a used factory fairing in a salvage yard versus the wing.

On a w900 like yours with the raised bunk l don't think you'll see a significant gain. A wing should be a little better that the factory style duct bill/whale tail but at the end it'll come down to what you prefer looks wise.

Slow it down a few mph. Forget the wing

Or swap rear ends. I think he has 3.90 so going to 3.36 would make his Acert a lot happier.

    Rideandrepair and Brettj3876 Thank this.

Or tall rubber if he doesn't already have it

Reflash the ecm would probably be the best all around solution.

He had a whole thread a while ago about buying this heavy spec truck and swapping tires and such to get his 5th wheel height down to pull a dry van. If I recall he’s pretty gear bound and should be running about 60 to be where an Acert likes to be.

I'll never understand why so many folks buy a truck, then spend so much time and money to make it into what they need. If fuel mileage is the goal, buy a VNL or a Cascadia, not a brick built to haul 100k+ loads.

86scotty, Brettj3876 and Rideandrepair Thank this.
