So what is best way to add and wire extra lights and what gauge of wire is best?
Better to wire it and put plastic looms around it? or is there some were to buy it like all made up and wrapped like a extension cord .

Dont mess with plastic split loom. Buy the jacketed 2 wire. Much better abrasion resistance all by itself.

I buy new extension cords and use them to wire lights. Cheap and well insulated from abrasion

Correct way is to determine amp draw of each light in circuit to determine wire Guage.
