All these people get to a certain point in their life.
Not sure if it’s the $$. Ego, Someone gave them an atta boy or what but something causes a disconnect and they start believing that they are equal to God

 

Sounds more like a religious cult than a business. Reminds me of David Koresh of Waco, Texas. I’ve listened to Dave in the past, and he certainly has a God complex.

As with anything in life you need to use some of your own common sense to determine what works for you and what doesn’t. I started listening to Dave in my late 20’s and he gave me some of the ideas that allowed me to become debt free at 35, which was 19 years ago. I stopped listening to him many years ago because I tired of his political talk.
I learned several things about owning and operating a truck from Kevin. I don’t do everything he talked about but my glider with a series 60 and Pittsburgh Power Box serves me well. I also stopped listening to him several years ago because of his occasional political talk.
I don’t care what a radio show host believes politically and don’t care which party they vote for but, I don’t want to hear about it on an unrelated show. Kevin would have a stroke if he knew my speed and fuel mileage on occasion but I did learn a few things from his show useful in my operation that allow me to save money and have lower maintenance costs. I run a debt free very profitable business and don’t haul cheap freight. I don’t have a Turbo 3000 and never did.

When you rule out anyone you don’t completely agree with, you likely will miss out on many things that could help you prosper in life. There are very few people in my life I completely agree with including myself.

I know I am just a rookie, 34 years trucking so far but the last 5 years running a Power Box have served me well. Don’t put one on your truck if you don’t like them and we both will be happy! Copy Driver?

 

I used to listen to Ramsey Just to make myself feel better about my financial situation.

This may or may not work but I don’t think it’s a one size fits all thing
Any tweaking has to work throughout the entire driveline
Motor. Tranny. Rear ends. Tire size etc

A friend I used to talk to ( stopped because he was actually making me stupid ) would do all sorts of stupid stuff
$5,00o on rear ends. Turned up HP. Changed tire size
All this and more on a $15,000 old Walmart truck
He could never get any better fuel mileage but would tell me how fast he can run up the hill leaving the Peterbilt guys in the dust
I told him they’re laughing at you and you would get better mpg if you simply fixed the right foot

 

I spent the better part of a year researching and tweaking my rig before I had the tractor and trailer built. I would change absolutely nothing if I did it again. Since there are no more gliders I probably won’t do it again but, until I am done with it I am happy.
