Just had a check engine light come on yesterday and read the codes. I do all my own work typically so I'm not a big fan of bringing the truck to a dealership unless I have to. I noticed lack of power when they came on so I know the computer is derating itself. If this ends up needing a new EGR valve I will also be putting in the M1M cooler while I'm in there.

    2012 Prostar

    SPN 27 FMI 4
    SPN 51 FMI 4
    SPN 2791 FMI 5
    SPN 3464 FMI 5
    SPN 1747 FMI 2

BTW - I don't run this truck commercially, I just pull my camper with it. Thanks for any and all help on this.

1747 isn't from the engine. The other codes are both egr valve and intake throttle valve missing both position and control circuits. Egr valve and Intake throttle valve share the same power feed and if those codes are all active you need to check the egr valve relay in the fuse panel along with egr valve fuse which is usually F8-H.

When I went in the fuse panel it said the F8-H fuse needed to be a 20amp, but only had a 15amp. I robbed a 20amp fuse from the trailer marker light circuit and all those codes went away except for the 1747 one (which is for the suspension dump), and now there is a 524285 FMI 14 (SART module?) Not sure why I would get an active code for something like suspension, but the light on the dump switch has always blinked constantly since I bought it and the suspension will get stuck dumped if I push the switch... I will replace the battery in the SART module and see if that fixes the 524285 one.

The suspension is controlled by the body controller and it is a computer like the engine ECM and actually has it's own set of fault codes for things like this to aid in troubleshooting. Yes, that code is for the sart module and it likely has a dead battery.
