@RebelChick I'd probably plan on not getting out of Cal today.

    I know it's taking me 5hrs before,to go from Los Angelos to Barstow,and that's a little over a 100 miles.

All it takes is a couple 4 wheelers lol.

    RebelChick Thanks this.

No. Get there when you can. 210-15-14-58. I go that way all the time. Miss all LA traffic.

I see Knight took over the original drop yard in Savannah and put all their containers there and scooted us down the street to a smaller lot that was jammed full of our trailers. Managed to squeeze my reefer in a spot and drop it then hooked a target load to OH.

I wish I could say it’s been a great 2 days out here in the LA sunshine, but it’s been overcast for most of the day with sun only coming out in the late afternoon. And I’ve spent the last 2 days waiting-9 hours to get unloaded and then today to get loaded. I could’ve gone on up to Barstow, but I was in a f it kind of mood by the time I got loaded, so I just went back to the Pilot in Castaic. I’ll get up and run early in the morning. I mean, I only have to be back by Tuesday. I think I can manage to do that. And I’ve got to redo my physical as well, so I’m not going to stress on my way back. I need to make sure my BP cooperates this time. Then I’m going home for some rest-which includes a lot of not resting actually. So....

@RebelChick have you tried Goli apple cider vinegar gummies? I too had BP issues, I started a regimen of them (2 in the morning, 2 in the evening) a few months prior to my last physical and they made a world of difference, my lowest BP numbers in nearly 20 years of driving. I also changed up my diet quite a bit, pretty strict Keto which I know improved things but I really do attribute the BP success to apple cider vinegar. I’ve also incorporated pickled beets in to my diet, not a huge fan of the flavor but I’ll stomach them because of their positive effects on BP as well.

I hadn’t thought about pickled beets. I love love love those! My grandma used to make the best ones! I’ll try the ACV gummies. I used to make a smoothie every morning and add in tumeric, cinnamon, ACV, beet powder, and honey. I stopped because the blender was such a PITA to clean on the road and at home my husband said it was too loud early in the mornings.

Up until last week I had never been to or through Fargo, ND in a truck.

As of this morning, I've been there twice.

The delivery was a Hill-Phoenix load which gave an address in the Fargo suburbs (delivery address is actually in Minnesota, but what's two miles between friends?). BOL and load assignment also indicated that the delivery was for Target.

Arrived an hour early at the delivery address and...no Target. Just the Minnesota DMV and a boat repair place.

Cross-referenced load assignment with BOL, same address.

Pulled up google maps, no Targets nearby.

Looked up nearest Target, it's about 2 miles away.

Called the number on the bill. You know, the phone number that says "If there's any problems at all with this delivery, call this dude at this number"? I called that number. Got voicemail. Never heard back. Not the first time I've found that number completely useless.

Called the other number on the bill. The one for Hill-Phoenix Traffic Office. Got voicemail. Never heard back. Not the first time I've found that number completely useless.

No other phone numbers presented themselves. Sometimes the BOL will have the phone number for the contractor, but no dice this time. Tried to call the Target to see if they were doing any remodeling, but they hadn't opened yet and the voicemail tree wouldn't patch me through. So I drove over there. Talked to the Receiving Clerk, found out that it's the OTHER Target that's being remodeled, but they're storing the equipment at...the place I just came from.

And I'm here to tell you that there is nothing up there to indicate that it's any kind of place that will offload and store refrigeration equipment. Dude said I wasn't the first truck driver to stop by his store in a state of confusion.

Drove back up to the indicated address and, turns out, there is a very small unmarked, unlisted warehouse around back of the boat repair place. No signage indicating that it's there, nothing on Google Maps saying "Yeah, there's a warehouse here". And structurally it's part of the same building as the boat repair place, so absolutely no reason to think that anything besides boat repair happens there.

So should you happen to get a Hill-Phoenix load to Moorhead, MN and you wind up in front of "Kovash Marine", you are, in fact, in the right place.

That almost looks like one of those fire department training buildings.
