Looking to replace my 10-sensor TPMS. The one I have now is by TST and I'd give it a mixed review. It worked well, had a 3 year warranty, and they would replace sensors when the batteries in them died, but it was still a PITA because the batteries started dying after about a year, so there was a lot of shipping back and forth. Also when they first sent me it, they sent the wrong model display unit, so I exchanged it for the correct one, and then later when the display power cord fell apart, they wouldn't replace it on the grounds that the display unit had been exchanged. Luckily I was able to rebuild the cord, but now the whole thing is out of warranty and more sensors are dying and I don't want to keep replacing them at fifty bucks a pop.

Looks like there's a bunch of different brands but they're all by small independent companies with limited info available and nothing in the way of a consumer reports type comparison. I've seen some that have a solar powered display and replaceable sensor batteries, both of which are appealing features, but everything I find so far gets disqualified either from lots of bad reviews or a weird design flaw.

Yeah I have the gauge and the thumper and the glad hand hose, but the monitor system has still come in handy when tires have deflated on the road or overheated, so I find it to be a valuable tool. What brand or model do you recommend? And why?

In 9 months I haven’t replaced any sensor batteries yet. It seems to work as advertised. I don’t have any reason that it is any better or worse than any other system. In my case it helped find an inside drive tire that went down mid day so it probably is worth having some system. E9FB1788-7842-4C4F-ABD4-7AA90F7DA115.png

Tried a lot of different ones, bendix lasted the longest but still crapped out. All of them created more work in our shop as we'll switch tires/wheels between trucks to run them out. The valve stem systems would break the stems in WY cold/snow. Mounted inside the rim it seemed like tire life would destroy them or break them loose.

Looks interesting. Have you changed any batteries yet? How'd that go? Do they sell sensors separately? Looking but haven't found any yet. Biggest difference I can find from the TST is you apparently can't change the alarm threshhold, it's always at 25% below your value input. Still worth a closer look.

Haven’t got it yet but looking at the pulse from pressure pro. Similar to the TST system but looks more modern

I haven’t changed the batteries yet. It should be easy as the sensor and the battery cap screws off easily. Sensors are $25 or so sold separately. I had a slow leaker and until I fixed the problem it would go off every morning when first starting at roughly 95lbs. The tires are supposed to be at 110. There is an alarm silence button to stop the audible alarm. I have the Halo inflation system on my drives and within a few minutes of driving it was back up above the low setting. I don’t really need the alarm because I tend to watch the actual pressure and temps, but it is nice to get your attention if you have a catastrophic pressure loss.

Interesting. That seems to diverge from the amazon description. Were you able to set the alarm threshhold?

I don’t recall and I am not home to look at the instructions. I feel like I set the alarm for a certain pressure but I could be mistaken. I will look at the instructions when I get home. It comes with a repeater/signal booster if you plan on putting them on your trailer but you don’t need it for the tractor only.

Interesting. The cellphone monitor app is a neat twist and I like Made in USA. Are the sensor batteries changeable?

The way im reading that readout, it looks like it should support at least 22 tires, but max # of sensors on a kit seems to be 12.

Id like to pop it on truck and trailer but i could settle for truck only or even 2 seperate setups
