I had a similar problem, my front inners were wearing the same way, I assumed it had something to do with the extra tail weight from my moffett. Had the tires rotated and It seems like the problem went away. It’s a mystery to me...

If it’s the inside edge of only one inside tire then I would lean towards having some play in the wheel end.

I'm going to 34 maybe tomorrow. I'll jack it up and see.

I have the same type of wear on the drivers side of trailer. I rotate my tires every 20,000 miles to get the most out of them. My trailer is a 2018 drop deck.
When I had my tractor aligned it seemed to slow the wear down, but it hasn't stopped.
I was given all kinds of reasons for it. Bearings, bushings, shocks, alignment, the tires and the way I turn. One tire tech said its just because I probably turn left more often. ???
    Good luck.

Just curious have you put new shocks on since buying that trailer?

    No.

The tires were new and identical. The outer dual still looks new. Only about 40k on them.

Yes, I've got all kinds of different tires on this trailer, but the tread depths all match in each set of duals.

That is what I would do, Jack it up and spin it by hand to see if you see some rim wobble or hear anything funky.

    Simply could be bad tire?

Had one outside tire on the live bottom go bad within 5,000 kms. The one beside it was fine for a long time but eventually started showing issues of heavy loading as the bad one had little tread left and the other was still nearly new. (All 4 tires on same axle were new.)

I took both tires off on the passenger side (bad one and decent one) and replaced with another new set.

The decent one went onto another trailer and the pos was shot and thrown in the trash.

    Trailer has been fine since.

Loose bearings are good for inside wear on inside tire.

Imagine a stick. One side sitting lower.

I beleive preventive maintenance is 100k miles. But no one does it.

Looks like worn out wheel bearings to me also. Excessive end-play on the hub assembly with do that.
