My question is going to seem weird so I recently started driving a Volvo nvl and I'm coming from Freightliner so my question is when I start to drive the truck and I give it gas it stops at 15,000 RPMs and I'm just wondering is that normal for a Volvo for example when I used to drive the Freightliner I could take it to about 19k
And on this Volvo I can't I will be in 6th gear 15,000 RPMs and it won't let me pass I will have to shift into seven gear and it kind of drops down to about 7 to 8,000 RPMs and puts like a harsh load on the trans that's why I'm asking if this is normal for Volvos I know this sounds kind of weird and I think you for any response I get
I'm new to this lol

Somethin sounds off if the rpms drop that low when shifting and topping out at 15 shouldnt happen i would have a mechanic give it a once over to see what the problem is then figure out if you can fix it yourself

It’s most likely a setting in the ecm. @nasriza should be able to tell you if it can be changed. -
At 15000 rpms your truck would be lifting off the ground
