I know they’re having driver retention issues. They’re seeming more and more desperate to hire drivers now. We’ve got drivers hanging out at local stores trying to recruit. I personally think it’s reeks of desperation and if they’re trying to attract top tier drivers that ain’t the way to do it...

That’s such a ridiculous statement. Fact of the matter is, all companies or businesses that have more than a few hundred employees have had to advertise for new workers at some point or another. Hell, even the US military advertises for recruits. And guess what? They didn’t used to. But by your logic, the military (and every company apparently) must suck now because no way on earth could it be simply be that the job force is more competitive than ever now. Nah, that couldn’t be it...

No it’s not ridiculous...fact of the matter is Walmart never had to put ads everywhere nor did they ever have to put now hiring signs at stores for drivers..simply put walmart mgt is nowhere near the excellence that they use to be...sam walton would be rolling in his graveto see where the Company has gone...they may be near the top but they aren’t the top anymore...
