I read that speed limiters are in the bill. That is one thing that affects everyone, I vote for it as long as cars are included.
Time for truckers to make themselves heard

So the majority of wrecks will happen at the bottom of the big hill as drivers just let it go to make up time, a few minutes here, a few minutes there, whatever it takes, these organizations are crying about safety now, they haven't seen anything yet til a speed limiter is introduced. I have to admit, the first time I see 2 rigs side by side for a mile with 2 miles of cars behind one, I'm going to laugh my ### off! I've contacted my states reps about these ridiculous changes and I will do it again, as I hope many of you will. I am my own speed limiter, never had a speeding ticket or an accident. So if these changes do somehow take effect what's next? What could possibly be next to screw the trucker over? Enough already.

Nobody cares , they vote in the direction of money. ATA knows this , truck drivers don't care because most of them aren't o/o 's . Every time a group of Truckers tries to Rally together they get shouted down by another group of truckers . Same crap .

FMCSA is owned by ATA and that's all there is to it. ATA wants this so that O/O are no longer competition. FACT

So in the end, nobody, or darn few are going to care enough to get involved. The powers will get their way without much of a fight.
I hope you O/Os realize that a California Congressman, the same one that tried to get the insurance raised last year, has proposed raising liability to 4.9 million going into this years bill.
And the speed limiter thing. The four wheelers are going to get tired of the turtle races and want some action. Eventually, trucks are going to be restricted to the right lane only on roads with only two lanes in each direction. And 65 mph limit is not set in stone. The FHWA wants it at either 62 or 60 mph.
Makes me glad I retired when I did.Team818, nredfor88, feldsforever and 6 others Thank this. -
