Does anyone have any resources ( or just the right terminology for google search) to find out what my total final cost will be on purchasing a new semi. By this I mean added items i will be paying for, not actual dollar amounts. I know that depends on other factors. I would like to research ahead of time what i actually need to pay for and what is unnecessary or what to be careful of.
I watched a video of a team couple that bought new at $156,000 gave $35,000 down. Amount went up to just shy of $200,000 and at the end had a finance balance of $178,000.

Im not sure if this sounds right or not, appreciate any info

If you're talking about fees tacked on, there really doesn't need to be more than one, if any. Should be equipment purchase price plus interest, plus maybe a processing fee of a few hundred bucks.

FET is charged on new trucks and trailers and tires. 12%. Congress was considering temporarily suspending it due to Covid but I don't know if they did.

Thank you everyone for your info, looks like we have a long wait, can’t even reserve our truck for a few more weeks. After that, we still have to wait until Dec/Jan for the 2023 models because all the 2022s are sold out ( Kenworth, Peterbilt, Volvo).

I heard Daimler even disabled the Freightliner dealerships ordering software. They also had to come up with an alternative pay structure for their salespeople, who otherwise wouldn't be able to make much without having the ability to sell anything.

    Jarhed1964 Thanks this.
