I used to drink water on the way to the exam so I’d be able to easily fill

I figured out with my BP that if I schedule the physical early AM and don’t drink ANY THING then my BP is fine.

drinking a bottle of water while driving to the appointment runs my BP up about 10-12 points .

little more effort to get enough pee in the cup but definitely lowered the BP

also CVS minute clinic is the best place for a DOT physical

 

I never had an apu

when I was based in Atlanta , if it got below 25 I would leave the truck running all night at the terminal when I went home.
Couple of times I left it running all weekend at 950 rpm.
Since there was no where to plug in amd most Of Em didn’t have block heaters anyway

came back Monday morning and not one of the 25 or so owner operator trucks would crank. I pull started two trucks and they pulled two etc

in an hour we had em all running ,
But a couple of the old worn out ones had to get towed over a mile to get em
Running .

 

So I'm checking into the hotel last night, kind a late. Standing there at the counter as they are handing me my room key and cards back, there is an older woman waiting behind me.

From behind me on the other side I hear the elevator door ding, but don't really pay attention, and a guy says rather loudly, obviously talking to the woman behind the counter that works there "I went outside to go to the bathroom and locked myself out of my room, this is so embarrassing"

Now I'm not very smart, but my first thought is why the #### would you go outside to go to the bathroom instead of use the one in the room. So I turn around to see what this mental midget looks like and there is a guy standing in the elevator doorway in nothing but boxer briefs with one hand over his crotch area and a beer in the other.

I just took my stuff and walked away, figured I would be better off to leave before the night got anymore interesting....
