gates and by looking at it, it doesnt look like the teeth go all the way down in the grooves upon looking at them. I could run over to pete on monday and get one to try that i suppose

A lot of fan pullies will slip one way and grip the other way. Pretty normal. I do agree that belt should probably wrap a little more around the fan pulley but if every engine is setup like that I see no sense in re-inventing the wheel.

The sides of each groove in the pulley should be straight. Kinda looks like they are a little dished in and a bit of a step. Could be the angle of the picture too.

Gates HD squeaked like that badly on our Caterpillar engines, switched brands of belts. Also sometimes when belts get cross referenced, they end up longer than spec. I'd get a Paccar belt and Dayco tensioner if it was mine.

I agree with @God prefers Diesels. If you haven’t tried yet. Take the single V A/C belt off. See if it goes away. Hopefully it does and is just a worn belt, not the pulley groove, yet.

The answer to your problem is as simple as the fan clutch itself. Every time you engage it the clutch face slips causing the chirp you hear . Replace the clutch facing and it goes away . At least that has been my experience.
