One of my door cables broke on my way to my first delivery today.

20 stops later I was REAL tired of cleaning and jerking that door open. :biggrin_25510:

It better get fixed tonight or some hell will be raised tomorrow.

I don't mind lifting the door...it's when the rollers jam up in the tracks that my day starts going bad.

or when your company buys a bunch of rusted east coast trailers and does "PM" and the doors lock up on you half way

We got two drivers out injured because of our doors. One tore his shoulder muscle trying to pull down a door with a broken roller, and the other almost died (or almost seriously got injured) when the cable snapped and the door came down on him.

Not sure if his cat/ninja reflexes kicked in or if the P&D Gods smiled on him that day. But he hit the floor rather than being pinched under his door.

Oddly enough, you can easily injure yourself on one of these roll-up doors. Yet the convenience and benefits outweigh the risk vs having a barn style door.

Surely I can't be the only one that wrapped the door strap around his hand and gravity rode the door down Pirates of the Caribbean style, knowing you will jack up your knee joints or damaging your shoulder.

Had the same thought when it happened to me at US Foods. The cable got bound up on one of my first stops, so I borrowed some bolt cutters from the customer to cut it. I was very surprised when the door came crashing down and I could no longer open it.
