I said I would update my progress with Danny Herman Trucking. So here it goes. These are my miles coming off of hometime 7 days ago. This is pretty close to my weekly numbers average for the last 12 months. Started 03/27/2020. Grossed $65,000 + - in my 1st 12 months with the Company. Granted, I am a long haul driver with no family/ hometime obligations. I worked 45 out of 52 weeks in that stretch of time. That gross income includes bonuses as well. I am surely not getting "Rich", but, in my particular situation, the numbers work very well for me. I will be close to my " comfort level" for retirement in about 4 more years. I am 61 years old now, and want to quit " pounding the pavement" full time by 64-65. My first Grandchild is due by the end of June. My mortgage will be paid off in less than 30 months. I would like to drive on a limited basis after I turn 65. By that time I will have been at this game for 10+ years. Who knows......I may drop dead tomorrow!:p PXL_20210501_180710194.jpg

Let me just add......that was 2 loads.....pretty typical in 7 days. My Tractor was at the Dealership in Tucson for Recall Work while I was on Hometime. The first 67 miles was from Tucson to Nogales the day before my dispatch. Got to Nogales the day before and did a 10 hour break before heading out. Nogales to Rock Hill, SC. Deadhead to Kingsport, TN. Kingsport to Laredo.

Does Danny Herman have driver-facing cams? I've seen conflicting statements on here.

I'd been meaning to ask you. Does DHT require ya to have or obtain a haz-mat endorsement ?

    Jarhed1964 Thanks this.

Not required....but.... .01 per mile on your base pay. I ran ONE hazmat load in 12 months.... 140,000 miles....so technically, I made an additional $1400.00 on that load. Bottom line....if you qualify....get your HM Endorsement. Chinatown and I disagree on several subjects, but we agree on this!,.....get ALL OF YOUR ENDORSEMENTS! It is Sooooooooooio effing easy when you go to DMV to get your original CDL. Tanker and Doubles/Triples are about 20-25 questions each, that you can guess on and still pass. HM.....take a few extra hours of study time but well worth the extra effort.

    mlavelle3 and Jarhed1964 Thank this.

Yea I've had hazmat before. Just don't have it presently. Gonna re apply in October for it. When i get it then I'm gonna try an talk the wife into getting hers as well. That would of course only make sense to do since we are a team.

    Jarhed1964 Thanks this.

The test certainly isn't Rocket Surgery! If you or your wife do not have any disqualifying circumstances, get the Endorsement! It may not help you get "this job", but, it may help you get the next job.
