What's The Regs for Truck Number Stickers?

Seems like they’d better off using a name of an actual trucking company , even if it was a trucking company

Name but I notice a
Truck with NO name .

same with license plates.
A plate registered to a phone cia company would be less noticed than a vehicle with NO plates.

I have a friend that occasionally hauls loads for the military and they have specific instructions that they can not show the BoL to anyone ,including the DOT in the scalehouse ,

 

They do use some companies too. I had an owner operator who ran for Roberts White Glove and did a bunch of stuff during Desert Storm and other stuff. One of Marine One's engines failed on the south lawn. He hauled that engine [in a special crate] back to the manufacturer for it's 'what happened' tear down; one of the few times he actually knew what was in his trailer...
