Yesterday on May 4, 2021, I was stopped by DOT for an inspection and I was cited for multiple violations: State vehicle registration violation, IFTA sticker violation, no proof of periodic inspection X2 (I do inspect the vehicle. I just got complacent and didn't log it into Samsara), and I didn't have any paperlogs. Other than that the DOT officer did a walk around of the vehicle and I passed that portion of the inspection.

If it is possible, what can I do to get these violations dismissed. I know I made a rookie mistake and didn't continuously check the registration of my vehicle and trailer even though I just assumed that they were all up to date. I learned from my mistake and it won't happen again. Please and thank you.

There is the dataq system to dispute violations. Thing is, if the violation was accurate there it's not going to be reversed. After all, what would be the point of the system?

I was just curious if there was a way I can dispute it even if I was in the wrong, like forgiveness or something like that. If there isn't then so be it. It won't happen again.

Where you made you mistake was, not using the word "alleged violation". If you use that word, it is like it never happened.

That apply to murder?? Asking for a distant (out of State) relative doing 20 to balance.
    Interesting application, it is.

    Yes.
It applies right up to the time when the jury Foreman hands the verdict to the judge to be read out loud .

Was it a vehicle you own ?
    Or someone else’s ?

Either way you’re the one responsible for checking the registration and doing a pretrip inspection and keeping a log book if you are more than 150? Miles from base terminal.
It might possible to hire an attorney and dispute or negotiate the charges,
I assume that are similar to a speeding ticket or something?

The vehicle belongs to Penske. The real mistake I made was thinking all of my paperwork was up to date and not double checking. I'm not sure if this is like a speeding ticket but I know it will appear on my PSP sooner or later. That is why I am asking this question to see if I can get this dismiss or fight it. As Zvar has said, I am pretty much guilty so I was just looking for some advice to fight this.

You might want to learn how CVSA works before giving advice. This is not a citation (that's a different issue), so no charge of anything to fight in court. It's simply a list of violations found (or not) at the time of inspection. (Ok, maybe not simply, but it is what the inspector claims to have found wrong.)
    You can begin here. Inspections

When you run the dataQ process, the 'dispute' goes right straight back to the very officer who wrote up the violation, so 9 times out of 9 you're losing this one.

    ZVar Thanks this.
