UPS ground has hired about 50 off the street at their new West Charlotte building. I think the ad is still up on their website but just says Charlotte.

I know some think UPS is too strict but they've relaxed the dress code and the pay is good once you get a couple years I to progression. I made $140k last year.

 

Coming from someone from here, stay away from Charlotte. It might seem enticing but trust me, stay away. Come to Raleigh and you will find a better network of people in the industry and more opportunities to be home more. I would stay away from Coca Cola and Long Beverage. They talk a good hustle but are terrible to work for and they nickel and dime your checks. There are also plenty of construction companies and I here Air Gas is a great company to work for if your a tanker.

I work for small company, with lots of NC. My takehome is never less than $1100. Home every other weekend If you have 2 year and clean driving. Boss would love to talk to you. PM me and i ll fill you in

 

There are quite a few good companies in eastern NC.
Mine is based in Garner, but we are predominately a reefer fleet.

Given that you are flexible, I would go with the fuel tanker out of Greensboro or Wilmington areas. Best chance for steady local pay.
