There’s an old adage that should apply to you nicely driver.

Guy walks nude into to the bedroom of his newly found consensual sex partner. After a close look, the partner says:

“Who do you think you’re gonna satisfy with that?!!!!”

    To which the pilgrim replies:

    ME!!!!!!!!

Moral of the story is it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks!

Most of the bad things I've heard about milk hauling have come from you, or this thread.

As to why I wouldn't consider hauling milk - I live in Northern WI, and as @Happily Retired said, milk hauling pay is lower than driving a school bus.

some of the issues i had my boss fixed. one of my biggest issues was sitting at a particular farm for hours upon hours with no pay. now he gives me a load to take to plant. i get paid for the load and it delays my arrival. problem solved, they get a trailer unloaded and i get compensated for all of my time.

the other thing is the accidents and mahem i have observed. there have been 3 instances of DWI with drivers in the last 3 years. ALL of them have ended their driving careers. i have learned to ignore the nonsense around me. it doesn't effect my pay nor reputation as a driver.

I've never gotten ice cream but I get free string cheese. Anyone here like string cheese? My Campbell ny delivery point is united farmers cheese, formerly owned by polly-o. Now its owned by upstate Niagara cooperative, but they bought the polly-o name, line, plant, and hired all of the workers that have been at that plant for years.

If anyone assumes there aren't excellent, professional drivers in the milk hauling industry is grossly mistaken. Are there meatheads too? Yes. I imagine meatheads can be found in any part of the trucking industry.

Milk is heavy and smooth bore has its dangers. If you can drive a milk tanker and have a good license you can probably drive anything, in any weather

I've never heard anyone bashing milk haulers, and nearly my whole trucking career is tanker hauling.

I know many tanker yankers that PREFER NOT TO drive a milk tanker.

If it works for YOU, then have at it.

You do you. Never mind what everyone else is doing.
