Welcome to oil field trucking bs. You'll average 10k/wk for a few weeks if you run your tail off, and then they'll hire on 500 more suckers with junk trucks and you'll be sitting waiting for loads for days at a time.

That's a tempting offer. Wonder what the catch is.

I guess these "news" outlets that published the same story are nothing more than "entertainment news" as well. They include NBC, Yahoo, MSN and CBS.

Company offers truck drivers $14,000 per week amid nationwide driver shortage

There's a truck driver shortage, so one Texas company is offering experienced drivers $14K a week

I have a sticker on my door that says:

"Driver carriers no cash or toilet paper".

You have to own your own truck to start. They just lease you on. Tx now requires eld's on trucks running intrastate (we also have different HOS), but I think the 150mi rule skirts that.

    #### at those rates they will have drivers beating down their door. There is a catch somewhere because this has "too good to be true" written all over it. Rates are good now but if they were THAT good we would all be driving gold lined imported porcse trucks.
