83 near York PA was in full force. Also on turnpike they had 2 trucks and 3 four wheelers pulled over all in 10-12 miles

Unload in Omaha went quick (beer loads usually do). They sent me back over to Lincoln to pu a load going to Plainfield, IN for a Friday afternoon delivery. Strange thing happened. I made it to Bevier, MO, and backed into a spot I have parked in many times before and my Peoplenet lost all data signal (use to stop here a lot with Wy-Moore, and they had the exact same system we have here). What is also strange, Shaffer hasn't sent the ''it has been more than 10 hrs since your truck has moved and you haven't sent any messages, please reply with a message to let us know you are ok" msg...(I can still see messages from them on my PN app)...for the 1st 6 months, I would get that msg from time to time, but now that my truck hasn't made contact in 10 hrs (not even it's 10 min data check-call has gotten thru), they haven't said a word. Another strange thing is, when I picked this trailer up, it's suppose to be in cycle mode, not continuous. I switched it before doing my load call, then waited 5 or 10 min for it to update in the system (our reefer units talk to corporate, if you change something on the settings to match load info, you have to wait a few minutes for it to talk to the mother ship's computer before sending in load call). After I sent in the load info, I get a message saying that it shows the wrong reefer mode. Thinking that I jumped the gun, I let it go without checking. I get to Bevier and...it switched back to continuous...I know darn well I switched it right because the unit shut down before I got back in the truck...so, I switched it again when I shut down last night...and...it's back on continuous this morning. We don't have reefers like Magnum has that automatically select the mode based on the temp selected, ours are 100% manual, but this one has a mind of it's own.

*Update. Must have been the network Peoplenet uses in that area. 15 mi before Hannibal, it reconnected and updated. My online log looked bad until it did. It said I was driving 18 hrs yesterday...once it made contact, it fixed the online log.

Has anyone else but me noticed that the 'supposed' coin shortage that every truckstop and store had signs up for(that requested exact change or debit/credit cards be used)...has suddenly ended? I actually bought a cup of coffee the other day and used real greenbacks. AMAZING.

Becton & Dickinson is now a cuss word to me(I won't even buy whatever medical products they sell). Four Oaks was a total joke of a place to pick up. Now I am trying to deliver to their DC in Plainfield. Checked in 45 min early. Told to park in a specific spot because it is shift change. When they're ready to put you to a door, they'll come get you. Now it's an hour after my appointment, 4 trucks that just checked in got doors, and are backed in...I am the only one sitting here. I can see why the FCC guys get to drop-hook at these places, their live load/unloading speed is worse than a grocery warehouse.

And then we get this msg(not sure if that means that we can't get reefer fuel as needed without asking special permission or not)

I understand why they do it but I couldn't put up with that. Guess I'm old stubborn and grumpy.

If ever there was enough bull crap to make you leave, this should be it.

I think I’d just turn my keys in, tell them to pound sand and call the wife to tell her I’m coming home.
