Linden bulk, liquid cargo or quality carriers

Probably why I don't get return e'mails. I tried, guys. O/O's 'ain't talking' atm, methinks.

 

I talked to an O/O I know. He's been getting steady loads from a new (to him) shipper. Company guys used to run those loads. Said some of them are sitting more.

I can't tell what exactly is going on, could be the economy in general, but I've had too many low weeks and the rumors seem to make sense, so I'm looking. I don't really want to because I like it here, but I've gotta pay rent.

 

I believe so but your finger prints have to be done again in January.... or your hazmat won’t be any good......

I’d do the prints now and then renew the hazmat

 

This thread has been dead for a while. I'm looking for information on being a company driver for a QC affiliate name Schofield out of Bridgeport NJ. They have a new pay package which is really good if you can get the miles.

I am leery about the fact that this is basically QC and QC has a horrible reputation and I see the DOT always messing with them. Are things better driving for an affiliate company versus corporate QC?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

 

Affiliates are like their own little world, dozens of little mini-companies often doing their own thing running under the Q C banner. Some good Some not so good.

 

What ever happened to swedesboro NJ..?

I worked out of there with circle C.....

 

CLTL was in Bridgeport; Matlack was in Sweedsboro and the early's 60's state of the art tank cleaning lagoons made both superfund sites...

 

Well Chemical Leeman had a terminal and tank wash somewhere in swedenboro NJ in 1997 ......

but I don’t remember where in town it waszzzzz

 

When I wore a blue windbreaker I dealt with Brigeport terminal by phone, their teams had some intricate rules when it came to back hauls and they had a lot of dedicated DuPont stuff that returned MT. never saw the place but knew about the potential contamination.

Years later, wearing a green windbreaker, I watched the Matlack's head of environmental stuff un-box the year's communication with NJDEP and USEPA over Sweedsboro on a conference room table. Stack of paper was over 5 feet tall...was there several times you wouldn't know by looking a the place that the ground was dirty.

 

Sorry I guess this is the terminal I worked from... it’s been a long time. But the layout of the yard appears correct.....
