I guess Fauci didn’t see the recent Stanford study on the NIH website:

You realize it’s proven even surgeons only wear masks for cosmetic reasons right and there’s no proof masks affect even operating room mortality.
And masks don’t keep you from contracting it just supposedly keep you from spreading it.

LOL, like surgeons wear simple cloth masks. They wear medical-grade N95 or surgical masks.
It's not proven, show us the proof. Regardless, the anecdotal evidence of this past season and the insignificant amount of FLU suggests that masking does have an impact, as Fauci suggests.

Stanford is just trying to CYA. As they even state he WAS affiliated. Just not currently. So he was fine then, just not now. and last time I checked, those that are "fact checking it' are not scientists. I've pointed out this before. Scientists, will interpret the data in the way that is being paid for them to find. This was shown clearly in a nicotine study. One group found that nicotine caused cancer cells to grow rapidly. The other group found that nicotine caused increased blood flow. Which would help with Alzheimer's. The first group was being funded by an anti smoking group. The second an Alzheimer's group. Same data. Group one failed to clarify that if you increase blood flow to a cancer cell it is going to grow rapidly. Moral of the story? It is financially beneficial right now to say Masks work. It is against the money to say the opposite. Even if evidence can prove it.

That's not what the article by the Stanford Daily says. This is categorically false.

"The school released a statement saying that Vainshelboim has not had any affiliation with the Palo Alto VA Hospital or Stanford since 2016, when he was a visiting scholar for a year “on matters unrelated to this paper.”

Vainshelboim was a postdoctoral research assistant in the lab of a VA Palo Alto Health Care System-affiliated researcher from October 2015 to September 2016, according to School of Medicine spokesperson Julie Greicius.

“He is not now and never was officially employed with the VA or Stanford,” Greicius wrote. “The terms of his contract limited the use of his VA/Stanford title to the period of his visiting scholar term.”

The issue with doctors that enjoy the spotlight is that to keep their seat they have to agree with mainstream media and mob mentality.
Trusting their words blindly is dangerous.
Some of my first classes in college taught me that the hubris of man is far reaching and leads to the blind leading the blind.

So many people don’t understand this. Rarely is any modern major study done from a point of neutrality. The bias of the people doing the research almost always works it’s way into the results.
Look at all the old “smoking is good for pregnancy” or “no these pills are perfectly safe for young women to take”
“A lobotomy is a perfectly safe medical procedure”
