You described my gig almost to the letter. Exception is I might put 5k miles on my car a year.

And, you’re right. It’s a living hell. I don’t know how I can face living another day knowing the hell I’m in. Oh wait....

Mine too. I drive 48m to work on Monday and 48 home on Friday afternoon. Then the other half has a laundry list for me to do before I can drop the boat in the water and have a beer. Such torture be we manage.

Mmmm slip seating a sleeper truck that would explain why bowel movement 58 knows about feet and fart odors.

I don’t slip seat anything. The only time my truck moves over the weekend is if it’s due for service. Those that chose to live in a truck for months and achieve that more power to them. I’m not one to judge, just haven’t met many that lived that lifestyle that were happy either.

Why do you insist on saying this? You clearly are judging, you post on every thread you can about the poor saps who are OTR. Hmm, sleeper smells like feet and farts..judging much? I'm one of those that prefer to stay out at least 6 weeks at a time. I go home for 7 or 8 full days. Your weekends home is something I would never want, no time to fully unwind. But hey, you hit the trucking holy grail and the rest of us are suckers with no lives. I must have been insane to give up my linehaul gig at Estes (years back)then according to you right?

    Tell'em Tokyojoe.
Fuel prices are a truck owners problem,
    Not a company drivers problem.
I'm not gonna waste a hour of my time to
Save them 3 bucks on fuel.

Can't afford the fuel, don't buy trucks.
I don't want to hear a word about the price of fuel.
Charge the customer for it. Leave us alone.

    Your riwe
    we get it.
Your jealous of us OTR drivers, with our total
Freedom to come and go as we please.
You wish you could do it too.

But somebody makes come home every weekend.
    And you hate it.
    We get it.

They DO charge the customer for it! They just want to make money on both sides and some drivers are just dumb enough to go along with wasting their time and getting paid nothing.
