Vibration on my truck after 60 MPH!!

    If it starts and stops consistently there's a good chance your wheel bearings aren't tight enough. It's a loading and unloading of the drive tires towing in and out that you're feeling.

    Whenever you have vibration check the moving parts. Idk if you read my issue up there in the comments long story short, check driveshafts(especially if its VOLVO the middle one that goes in the first diff), u-joints. It could be anything but check this first

    I came across this thread while trying to find possible solutions to my vibration. It's exactly that. 4-5 seconds of shake then 2-3 seconds of smooth. It's worse with a trailer, even an empty one, but it's not the trailer. Suggestions?

    If driveline is in good shape check front diff at yoke for play in input shaft. Power dividers need shims removed periodically as maintenance to address wear and maintain proper ring gear and pinion mesh. Also check all of your yokes that are held on with a big nut for tightness. Also a ujoint starving for grease will cause a cycling vibration as well. Unless you grease driveline yourself you won't know for sure. That's the best place to start. Recently, had a cycling torque vibration on accel and decel in our 14 w9. Been having it serviced at MHC mostly every 10-12k. Thought I could trust them as they generally do good work. Truck took a tube and a half of grease and suddenly got smooth as silk.

    I just took it to a MD alignment shop. They went through all of that. Wheel bearings, king pins, tires etc. I've got Centramatics also. I just had the clutch replaced and the flywheel resurfaced and it doesn't really feel like a driveline issue, but that's about the only other thing unless they missed something in the wheels.

    I just knew in my mind that my power divider was needing de shimmed. Grease cured it. Couldn't believe I got that lucky. I have had tires create a cycling vibration as well.
