What application would this be used for? But my first thought is what’s it doing here? I thought these newer Cabovers were only in Europe and whatnot.
Saw this on a drop deck at the TA in Denton, TX

There are 2 things you need to look at in the use off the above posted truck.
1°The cab is the smaller CF cab.
Truck is designed and mostly used for daycab or 1 night out work.
Evendough it has a raised floor in the middle, you can still stand up on it without hitting the roof.
Has big cupboards above the windshield.
Some el cheapo compagnies use them for being OTR.
2° is the second steer axle.
In most EU countries that truck is allowed 26 metric ton or 57320lbs.
This gives it 2 general fields off application.
The countries that have their max allowed tractor-trailer weight based on a max off 5 axles will used those for people who tend to be heavy at the front off the trailer.
That is a small market for that truck.
Then you have the part off the EU where the max weight is based upon 6 axle combo's (more in the north off the EU).
That is it's natural habitat.
PS that middle axle is a steered one.
Daf doesn't make a non steered pusher.
PPS
That cab is on it's way out as are all present EU cab's.
New laws are coming into effect which means cabs will get longer.Gearjammin' Penguin, nredfor88, singlescrewshaker and 12 others Thank this. -
