I’d say
alds and Farmtractor9900 Thank this. -
Some cracks in the frame are OOS, some are a get it fixed warning.
I would not drive a truck or trailer loaded with a crack in the main frame.
The only place I would drive it to is a shop to fix.
How long was that truck parked in the weeds. Man that is a lot of rust, not just surface rust. I think DOT would spend a bit of time inspecting that undercarriage.
Good luck. -
It will not have sup. travel so wear a big back brace when you are driving that one?
Dino soar, bzinger and Farmtractor9900 Thank this. -
So yesterday I called the owner and told him that the truck had some serious defects that need to be addressed. The owner said to send him a list of the issues. So I did.
So today I get to the yard and I am assigned the same truck going to the same job site (30km round trip).
I'm out in the truck and some guy walks up and opens the passenger side door and says "I'm a new driver and I'm supposed to go for training."
I politely told him that I know nothing about that and he should close my door and step back from the truck.
I haven't heard anything from the owner yet. If I get assigned the same truck Monday and the issues haven't been resolved then I'll be the one stepping away from the truck.
P.s thx for the helpLast edited: May 14, 2021

I would also recommend getting a tetanus shot before you pretrip that truck again.
