Delivered my load of driveshafts this morning in Union Gap WA. Got to figure out how the conestoga works (DM had a shag driver meet me in Lincoln to give me a crash course, I’ve noticed they’ll help you with things you’ve not done before as opposed to throwing you out there to sink)

Got the curtain opened and closed. Not terrible. Not favorite.

Get my next load info. Shingles from Portland going to Denver. And wow, Portland is the biggest dump I’ve ever seen with all of the squatters. It’s a shame.

And as for the TA in Troutdale, that place looks like that “rest area” y’all speak of near KC.

While fueling noticed i wasn’t able to get the conestoga fully latched, so had to loosen the back and push forward some, then loosen front and retighten, then tighten rear again. All is good now.

So let’s do the 70hr shuffle for the next week or so. Seems like it’s always leading into the week before I go home and really gonna watch my clock to make it home. (9 more days)

To add to my fuel saga (which is a mental game at this point)

Was between 1/8 and quarter, so I’ve figured it to be 30g (based off of all of my useless thinking yesterday) Get fuel, top off. 130g. (I think I’ve cracked the code)

So if any other psychotic people out there was wondering. 100+120 does not equal 220. It’s 160. It’s that new math.

Not going to be able to deliver in Denver tomorrow. 1240 miles and not enough hours (700 left). Called DM got it changed to Friday delivery. This also helps me manage the ole 70.

Drop in Joliet in the morning and then bounce north a few miles to grab a load heading to Blair and then to Fremont for a slightly delayed Shop Visit and hopefully a Truck Wash too.

You're assuming the fuel guage is accurate....most aren't as they are "idiot proof" so you don't run out. Once the light comes on you can easily go another 100 miles and still not approach the Max minus 10%.

Unloaded the load of shingles this morning in Denver. No preplan. But got a message from DM to head to Fremont.

Around 3pm get a message to call him, there’s a load on the yard going to Waite Park MN for Monday. It’s a large Miata sized block of granite.

And figured since I was here. May as well get a service done, a little early. But I’ve been a little late every time.

After I unload Monday, going to Shakopee MN for a load of retaining wall blocks to come back to Omaha to set me up for my home time.

Heading west again. They don’t send me west very often so when it happens it’s like a little vacation. Get to see some new areas and enjoy the views. I like running the Midwest and Southeast, no complaints there. And since I live east of I95 it only makes sense but it is rather nice that they change things up a bit now and then.

SC to NC to IL to NE to CA and I assume back… I know it’s a regular routine thing for many out here but it’s still fun for me when I get to run coast to cost within a 70… lol

    stay safe

    Well Dang It!!!

I think my RM GPS just died on me. :(

Time to dust off my Back Up Apps.
(And start looking at new hardware)

    Quick Poll:
While I will probably grab the new RM 750 to replace this 740, what options do you folks use and prefer? I like and trust some of the on the fly Routing options and eta calculations on the RM but I’m not opposed to changing for another option.
