What companies are raising pay? Please share any info on payscales you have!

Naa, I'm an electronics Engineer retired after 24 years in the military with a 10pt preference so I'll just take one of the lowly 125k jobs that I was trying to avoid because I really don't like government BS and dealing with office BS.

 

I thought lips and rectums cost $20 for 20 minutes in the party row...

 

Nice, I'll be satisfied with a local job in my area paying around 60k, and home nightly to abuse my wife and kid. From what I've seen on TV dad's are supposed to be stupid and abusive, deadbeats, or just abandon their family, so I'll be better than the average.

 

Let's not forget their federal pension of 75K for life and I'm sure most will meet the threshold for maximum social security.

If the base line worker's wages increased at the same rate as those in the executive suite, you and I wouldn't have any issues.

I have no problem eliminating all social welfare programs - provided that we eliminate all corporate welfare programs first and prosecute wage theft in the same manner that we prosecute shoplifting.

If the wage an employer pays isn't enough to cover housing and food without governmental aid, then that wage isn't enough to justify that employee's work. Take a look at how much Wisconsin tax payers subsidize Kohls, Kwik Trip, and Walmart - before Federal aid.

You want to end illegal immigration - charge employers of illegal immigrants with human trafficking. Better yet, make the CEO's of Conagra and Cargill responsible for the conduct of their "contractors".

Why has the compensation of the CEO of every fast food outlet grown faster than the compensation of the rank and file employees by more than an order of magnitude over the last 10 years?

 

Because they have other options and they aren't getting replaced by imported foreigners who have no reason to be here other than to take jobs and send the money back home to their families.

Most Americans used to also have other options but since almost all of those were exported to 3rd world countries in the past couple decades and the jobs that can't be exported are now being filled by as many low paying imports as possible it shouldn't surprise anyone that the reality we live in is the one Ross Perot was talking about almost 3 decades ago while algore was extolling the virtues and benefits of starting up NAFTA.

 

Nope it's due to the elimination of the high to tier tax rate, allowing companies to stuff CEO pockets with untold billions instead of investing that money in workers and facilities. We've always had immigrants; we've actually lost waaaay more jobs to automation than to China. And NAFTA was passed with overwhelming republican support over democratic opposition.

 

All companies say they raised there pay. You can always trust trucking companies they never ever lie about anything ever
