####, too bad you're not closer to Tucson I'd have my man Ardis run out and take a look at it. I'd even tell him to bring his wrench.

Turns out there was driveline damage from the leveling rod incident after all, despite multiple mechanics (outside the company) signing off on it.

Truck started shaking. Pulled the #### over. Roadside mechanic said he didn't see anything wrong. I said do me a favor man, this truck's airbags fully deflated at 70 mph. Can you check that driveline?

"Oh... Yeah... Your carrier joint is loose. Yeah you'd definitely feel that bouncing."

Volvo dealer doesn't know when they'll have a pin for the carrier joint. I asked what does that mean, days, weeks, months? He laughed and just said Yup. Supply chain issues.

Guess I'm done with this truck forever.

Now entering Week 2 of my truck being in the shop.

Wouldn't be so bad except that this hotel has absolutely abysmal coffee.

And I'll drink just about any old crap as long as it's hot, brown, and tastes at least vaguely like coffee. If I say it's terrible coffee, that's really getting down there.

I used to say that the worst coffee I ever had was the coffee I had with breakfast at a hotel in Dallas where I spent the night prior to taking the physical and the ASVAB trying to join the Navy. But I think this edges it out ever so slightly. Hard to say, though, as that was 35 years ago.

Mind you, I'm still drinking it. Terrible coffee is better than no coffee.

According to the person I talked to on the phone on Friday, the mechanic working on my truck was consulting directly with the engine manufacturer, to try and figure out what's wrong with it.

Also, the mechanic working on my truck doesn't work on the weekends. Apparently they keep banker's hours over there at Inland Kenworth.

None of the hotels around here take EFS checks. When I checked in, I figured I'd only be here one or maybe two days. So I said I'd just pay for it out of pocket and get reimbursed later. I wasn't gonna sweat a couple hundred bucks.

But here it is a week later, hotel bill is $780 and counting, and suddenly I'm thinking that maybe I oughtta explore some other options that allow Abilene to pay the bill directly without involving my personal bank account.

At the rate this KW dealership is going, I could be here another month.

Heading to Fort Myers Florida if Plant 1 ever gets around to loading my load. Then home for a week. Still no DM. I never thought I could enjoy my job as much as I have the last 6 weeks with no DM. It’s pretty nice with no interference.

Dropped my rue 21 load in Baton Rouge this morning then hooked the empty and bounced up to Natchez, Ms for a brokered load going to Parkersburg, WV so I can visit and help my mom out for 5 days. Get to the shipper few minutes after 11 and checked in and waited two hours before getting loaded. They made me sit til after lunch and lunch was 1200 to 1300. All docks empty and only a flatbed there which don't need a dock. What burns me is another driver with a dry van shows up 1130 and gets a dock immediately and gets loaded and out but I had to wait til 1300 til lunch was done.....
