So now you think less of someone who would resolve the situation by getting people involved with authority to actually correct the driver? Guess that thinking less of someone may be a two way street

Great point. Your right. Needs to be more foot in rear. But down the road and in a parking lot are 2 different things.

Context I guess. I have a customer that had color pictures in every bay, instructions on every wal, instructions on the freight bills.

Crane men and tow motor drivers know less than the drivers mostly. They care about Corp. rear, not yours or general public.

Not so much. Don't mean it to sound the way it does. I understand how your taking it. Sorry if it comes off that way.

Here @LTL Bull let me try. It would be simpler in a phone call, because I'm sheety at spelling and grammer.

I'm a 4th gen owner op that had to start my operation on his own. (Financialy) I worked and grew up around some of the most straightforward men I can imagine and miss. They gave zero sheets about what others thought. They would break your balls at every chance, yet be the first to offer help, or a hand. You were taking a beating for it. But beside you help you out. Maybe I'm being that guy too much. Have zero plans of changing. I do not conform to society and never have.

I will go out of my way to help and support someone willing to learn. If your a soft pile, ill toss a shovel of dirt on you.

I never wanted to drive truck as a young adult, here I am. Best decision I ever made. It is my job to help others when I can. Because I would not be were I am with men taking pictures of how I screw up and posting on interweb scared to say anything to me. And I probably don't look that approachable.

I have post pics on this site. I made clear that I knew nothing other than it was a entertaining picture.

I have post one or two of me helping others. But not more, don't wanna come of as a complete douche.

We are this industry and we are responsible for how we are looked apon in public. I do my best. If it looks like other as in general public could be hurt? My fat Irish behind is getting involved at all expense.

    Just me.

Is it so hard to walk up to the driver and say “hey it looks like your chains on them coils are loose”?
Are you going to follow the truck so you can tell the authorities where it’s going? Or just tell them where you seen it and let them guess where it might be now?

    cke and Czar_Zero Thank this.

Ok let’s follow your guys’ plan. You walk up to the individual and his response is “Buzz offJerk, you drive your truck I’ll drive mine” and takes off down the road fixing nothing. Problem not solved.
Now my approach either gets the problem fixed or it doesn’t . I don’t know . Hopefully company would address problem and keep it from happening again or law enforcement stops it. I don’t know which is the better way to do it but in this day and age I don’t have an optimistic view of the general population of our industry. I’m not saying either of you are wrong to walk up and say something but I think you are wrong for implying that myself or JonJon are chicken s***s or snitches for handling it our way. The end result is the person needs corrected in the way they secure the load, we just have different views of how to do it. Again, it’s the pillorying of members character I have a problem with.
I’m part Irish too, James, great granny hailed from County Cork. My handle , Bull, stems from the fact that I look liked the guard from the TV show Night Court, so imposing myself on someone is not an issue or concern, I just prefer to utilize my time to help those who actually want it as opposed to someone who would go down the road with securement like that. In the words of Ron White, “Ya can’t fix stupid”

Why can't there be both options? Offer assistance politely. If told to shove off. Contact the right people to get him to fix it. Such as LEO
