    True story.

My company gave me a trainee. The trainee started to tell me what
all the recruiter promised him.........put me in a spot. What I am supposed
to do? Tell the trainee the truth about the route he will be put on......and have
the trainee quit on the spot...................or am I supposed to lie for the
    company?

In that moment I was no longer willing to train for the company. Funny thing.....
when the recruiter started crying about needing drivers and how no body wants
to work for him I told him to stop lying to the new hires. That was several years ago
and he is still lying to the new hires.

At the companies i worked for, no trainers can average $2,500 per week. Our highest earning trainers made around $1800 per week.

I was a trainer for 2 years. I was known for being an especially hard working trainer. The most i ever made in a week was $2,200. I averaged around $1,600.

I've had a several weeks as a solo company driver that I've made over $2k gross...

I've made over $60k in 1 year before... That's 5 to 8 days on the road with 2 to 4 days at home between runs, plus a few weeks off throughout the year. If I really wanted to, I could run harder and average #### near $2k per week...

    Coffey and JolliRoger Thank this.

What world do you live in.
The average salary for a driver is about 45,000 a year.
Only on this site do we all make 90 grand a year.
But none of us have to prove it.

There ain't but a handful of company drivers
    Making 1800 a week.

It means you are a "contractor". It means you pay your own IRS AND social security out of that. It also means that you will pay for tires and repairs.
