I read a book some years gone that contained about 15 or so stories as well of Truck Stops that died......or may be never actually existed.

I have seen a screaming woman on the shoulder of I12, Louisiana. It was very early in the morning, maybe 2:30. She was crouching, looking at oncoming traffic and screaming. It all happened so fast I really didn't have much of a reaction. Maybe I interrupted a voodoo session of sorts.

 

Don't worry... the locals just propped up this famous 1893 painting by Edvard Munch by the side of the road, for the "viewing pleasure" of passersby.

 

I've been in a truck for almost 40 yrs I've heard this story since the 1st yr I was in a truck
Quote..." I got a speeding ticket going up grapevine grossing 105000 lbs and a turned up 425 cat with with a D9 dozer on my trailer he clocked me at 78mph.. but he let me go because the dozer was going to a forrest fire.."
I bet in 38 yrs I heard about this famous driver 80 times..
Well low and behold turns out he only lives about 60 miles from me and I finally met him couple months ago when I tried to by a truck from him..
Cause in the 4 hrs of BS he was spewing out of his pie hole when I was looking at his truck he told me that story and claimed it was him..
FYI....I didn't buy the truck but I did shake his hand before I walked away shaking my head..

 

I really can't say. I saw her for a split second. And it was a dark night, couldn't see anything on my mirrors.

 

When I was Otr driving at nite I remember my mind playing tricks on me. Wasn’t any fun.

 

I didn’t know this was an urban legend. I remember my trainer telling me he saw this back when I was doing OTR. He was insane so it doesn’t surprise me that he lied about it after hearing the story.
