i heard theyre gonna start hiring like crazy and saw they start off at 17 an hr. Just wondering if companies like that will pay you more if you have previous delivery or trucking experience. Does anyone know? thanks

They might be hiring replacement drivers instead of expanding. Since they installed driver facing cameras, drivers are getting tired of getting caught taking a drink of water. One news story I read said they have zero extra time to even stop and pee if they want to earn productivity points so they can advance to a better paying position.

Amazon Blows as an employer...... and their rates suck as a contractor too.

Unless something new is happening, Amazon has been following the FedEx Ground contractor model. None of those jobs are working directly for Amazon, it’s all run by smaller businesses with varying pay rates and benefits. If you’re dead set on delivering small packages, go with UPS and get paid a worthwhile amount for it.

as far as i know, i have seen the "blue" amazon trucks that also have another company name on the door, near the bottom. i think it is a 1099 job for some.
