Truck stops with good food

I used to stop at the Balkan Grill at the petro in gary IN, when I worked regional in that area. Not sure if it’s still there I haven’t been there in a few years.
But it had nice food.... although the iron skillet also had nice food many of the times I stopped there.

Any Sapp Brothers has good food. Try the hamburger steak.

Country Corral in Delta, OH just off the turnpike best chicken I’ve ever tasted, cheap too you can get two meal for under $10.

 

Nick’s Barbecue & Catfish - exit 183 on I-40 in Carlisle, Arkansas.

Tiger Cafe- Cajun food at the restaurant next to the Tiger Truck Stop at exit 139 off of I-10 in Grosse Tete, Louisiana.

Neither one is cheap but they’re well worth it.

 

Wow, 2 meals for $10. Considering the logistics of sourcing the ingredients, shipping, preparing and serving I would be leery of eating it.

 

Exit 238 I-5 in Albany, Oregon. Behind the loves there is a parking lot set up for food trucks. Indian, bbq, American, and a coffee stand. Good Indian food, enough for two meals, for under $20.

 

Good eatin' right there!

Also, the Rice Palace at exit 80 in Crowley and Frog City at exit 87 in Rayne have pretty good food.

I haven't tried either of the places across from the Love's in Duson at exit 92, but they're next on my list if I ever get out that way again.
