    Hi,

I’m a new driver with Steven’s transport. Let’s say…I’m unhappy. I was told I would get a 1500 sign on bonus, then when it was owed they said they didn’t do that.
So that sucks. My main issue is that they don’t pay me what I’m owed more than half the time and I have to call and have my paycheck corrected then I’m not “made right” until my next check.

would this be grounds to void my contract? I want out! If they won’t pay me what I’m owed, why am I here?

Contract state any of this bonus, etc.? Sounds like you need to have a heart to heart chat with driver manager.

That’s the issue is that the recruiter “forgot” to notate the bonus and no longer works for the company.

That's straight up BS. Those clowns have been screwing people for years and mostly get away with it. Also, your pay is hardly ever correct?

That contract might bite you later with another company, but you'll have to make the decision to walk. If you're already hating it, then what's the point.

Can I ask why you signed the contract without making sure it was in there first? Did you read the contract? If not, you might want to, therr might be penalties for break said contract.

    ZVar and nredfor88 Thank this.

    Was it 1500 or 6000?
A 1500 sign on bonus is horrible. Yet the sign on bonus isnt paid immediarely. No one pays it immediately.
Companies pay sign on bonusses over time. Usually over one year of time as they want you to stick around. Numbers are presuming your getting 6000
    Payment #1 after 30 days - 2000
    Payment #2 after 6 months - 2000
Payment #3 after one year of sign on.- 2000
They want to keep you on. If they pay workers all at once, there is nothing on the books to keep you there. They would have told you this when you first talked to the company recruiter

Then they don’t owe you. Sucks, but you should have found that error during orientation.

Well isn't that convenient for the POS company Stevens is known to be.

as mentioned, most bonuses are paid out after x amount of time, of employment. usually, with all those papers you signed, it's in there, even if the recruiter is no longer there. re-check ALL the paperwork, you have.

when i was unhappy with an employer or 2, or 3, maybe even 4.....

when i returned to the terminal where i lived, i'd clean out the truck, and toss the keys into....

    1) snapping turtle swamp

    2) down the sewer grate

    3) into the woods

    4) one time, flushed it down the toilet in the office bathroom....

think i was unhappy after that...??

hell no.......i was smiling all the way to my pick up truck..........

got a job EACH time too..........
