Easy Frank Speak. Lonesome is on here. I made a comment to SSB a while back when he switched companies. Lonesome replied with "here we go again". I never found out what he meant by that or what he was implying?

Ask @Lonesome what he meant. I’m an educated undead, but I’m afraid I can’t speak for the thoughts of someone else.

So....my belief that I fixed my opti-idle was premature. Tried to use it last night and it's back to it's old b.s,

I messages OP's last night about this new fuel routing stuff, where your card will only work at the fuel stops on the solution. They said it is still only for tractor fuel, we can still fill reefer and DEF at any of the 3 franchise chains, which is fine by me. I am still at 100% compliance.

Also got a message about my pickup time for my Cali load. It appears that the load is already loaded and ready, which is great, this way I don't HAVE TO push 675mi a day...I probably still will, but it's nice to have the option.

Why not just override the idle shutdown..forget the opti idle problems...and pay no attention...about the idle percentage mgs from home terminal....even if they did cut speed for 65 to 62...it's not that big a deal...truck doesn't average 65 for all day anyway

The back-scratcher bypass doesn't always overide the shut down timer. Had it set last night, and sometime during it's parked regen, it just shut down. I woke up and it was in the 80's in my sleeper. And reducing it from 65 to 62 would drop my monthly average mph by more than 3 mph since these trucks are geared to pull at 65. When I lost the ability to force an early downshift, my monthly speed average dropped by 3 mph. Based on how they have these trucks set up to short shift and skip gears(even when loaded), if they dropped it to 62, it would be at the bottom of the torque curve and probably couldn't get out of it's own way on a hill before it decided to start dropping gears...it would probably be undrivable out west (where they send me a lot)

Talk about a difference between night and day. Made it to Sidney, NE yesterday. Between Big Springs and Sidney you could see the ominous dark clouds starting to form. Turned on my radar app, and there were a bunch of storms in CO headed due north right thru the vicinity of Sidney. I get parked, grab some street tacos from Taco Johns, and sit back and enjoy the show. The NOAA radio had tornado warnings for counties in CO and NE, but since I no longer carry my torn up laminated truckers atlas, I have no clue where counties are unless I just happen to see a sign on the highway. My dad use to use the phrase 'raining like a cow pissing on a flat rock', which pretty much describes how hard it was coming down. You almost needed water wings to cross the parking lot because it looked like a training area for a swift water rescue team. When I shut down it was warm enough to use the A/C, but after the storm front rolled thru, I needed a hoodie. And by this morning, I almost needed my bunk heater.

Lol you know that funny looking thing you use to type these updates on can tell you what county you’re in…just saying.

Thanks for sending the rain East BYW, it’s pouring here in Pittsburgh… :)
