too many clones in that GM family, as well as Ford/Mercury, Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth.

good thing the herd got thinned out.

The 3800 was a good platform, it's way more reliable then what's on the market right now. The Bonneville SSEi is a luxury car with a 36k price tag in 2003.

I would agree they had too many cars that were very similar.

Regal GS / grand prix GTP/ impala SS L67. We could have done well with just one of them

Engine X15 only had injectors replaced, everything else was on truck side.
Leaf springs and whole suspension replaced couple of times, rear ends, drive shaft, transmission, computers, inside the cab electronics including radio and cluster were replaced three times, harnesses and whatever else. Basically a complete lemon.
The guy said said that his theory why the truck is bad, is because it sat on the dealer lot for a year before he bought it. I don't see a logic in that though

Good lord. That’s the lemon-est lemon truck I’ve ever heard of. I’d be curious to know what all caused it. I’m not buying the excuse that it sat on the lot. That thing would’ve had issues no matter when it was put on the road.

Yeah, I never heard of that kind of repairs all done in one year. The KW customer service must be good though, because that o/o is getting another KW and not switching brands

I have always enjoyed working on cars. When I don't have to, anyway. Tinkering on something mechanical can be very relaxing. But them days of having to work on a car half the night with a drop light and/or flashlight just so the car is fixed in time to go to work in the morning are long gone.

well the truck's DEF system appears to be repaired. they replaced the level sender. the truck still has it's other quirks, the blend doors, fuel gauge, and windshield crack
