Did my Hazmat in Pflugerville , had to show up early as it was limited to a handful of walk ins . I didn't realize you had to retest and do another back ground check . New license with X endorsement, what a pain in the butt .

So if I show up to Marshall, they will let me take the test eventually? I don't care how long I wait, as long as it gets done.
I'll drive there the day before and be there at 8AM. -
TravR1 Thanks this.

I was told that all locations actually allow a limited number of walk ins, FCFS or course. There are DPS offices in most every county so I would look for ones in less populated areas along interstate hwys. Ft Stockton on I 10 or Big Springs on I 20 for example.

Knowing my own limitations -- having to wait 3 months -- it just may not get done. By the time appointment comes around, I'll be on the road, or have moved on to other things. If it takes all day, I don't really care, as long as it gets done without a 3-month adventure.
So getting ready for a road trip, then.Trucker61016 Thanks this.
