I am having a recurring issue with the sp1 temp probe mounted on the engine. Every once in a while it will read 100 degrees high, causing shut down. It does it on hot days, cold days, wet days and dry days, LOL. On both fan mode, ac, and heat. Turning it on and off a bunch of times, sometimes works. I can watch it on the Apu monitor and I can see it suddenly jump 100 degrees, almost exactly.

Before I spend $120 on a new sp1 sensor, I want to make sure this is the issue. Thanks

Sounds like it s the sensor. If you take it to tk the first thing they are gonna do is put a new one in without checking anything. You could try checking the harness for rub through wires bad connections (a frustrating process) but I,d rather spend money and go with the most likely cause first.Sometimes you have to be a partschanger to solve electrical problems.

    scoobertdoo Thanks this.
