I think 02 was when 12.7 stared having ear valves. May have been some ordered early, without them. There’s a lot of old Trucks, that have been kept up for that reason. Still plenty of junk too. In a few years when 2017s are available for $40-$60k Most of the emissions nightmares will be over. Having an egr isn’t too bad. Really nothing compared to def and catylitic converters

don't forget too, that Daimler owns MB and Western Star.

All good points. If building a glider, what’s the need for the MB? I see a fe Dealerships that buy donor Trucks for the engines. I see them stripped and picked apart. Maybe someone had a low mileage wreck? Doesn’t really make sense. Maybe it is a 12.7
