Well i bungled that reply to @Farmerbob1
Any way...
Im actually in the process of reading through the entirety of a post you started with your first truck at Crete.
Soooooo informative.
I just recently, on a 30min brk, got to the end of the fiasco you're post here mentions- dealing with that TruNorth claim over Thanksgiving '19
I fully intend to continue reading your escapades, can't stop when a good story hasn't finished.
I suppose i could get into why I've asked and posted this original question, ehh maybe lol

I'll have to get into it a little to appreciate your guidance.
Im currently in an SFI truck with a Lease On to Landstar. That fiasco in and of itself is a story, promise.
The truck im in has a MX13, the 18' T680 with just 300k mi broke in yesterday.
It's been in the shop a total of 3 consecutive months with more than $47k approved Paccar Warranty (not to mention the $52k lost revenue during that time when compared to the previous full year revenue)
work completed without any conclusion, another story, promise.
Fast forward to 3 months before (now) the Lease with SFI is completed and i have my eye on a Cummins anything Kenworth/ Peterbilt, new/ used and knowing the 2nd Owner Warranty is an option removes a huge weight of uncertainty from my shoulders. Despite that uncertainty I'll be in another truck end of Sept '21.Last edited: May 26, 2021

But I'll be doing my own research now that you've all pointed me in a direction for research. Im giddy to actually.
..and to have more replies to this thread to keep the convo going..
and to share/ learn.Midwest Trucker and Farmerbob1 Thank this. -
My assumption would be they pulled the head first thinking a head or cylinder issue, used the scored cylinder as an excuse, and finally found the egr cooler failed, which caused the original complaint.
We all know about assumptions, but I seriously doubt all that went wrong at the same time.Farmerbob1 Thanks this. -
The cracked head leaked coolant and oil into the cylinder that was scored, which should have also been covered, but they refused to cover it.Big Road Skateboard Thanks this. -
