The Covid HOS exemption has been extended to Aug 31, 2021. Livestock and livestock feed are still at the top of the list so looks like business as usual.

Pretty sure brokers cried their eyes to FMCSA, they know ending it would increase rates even more...

At this point, even I would not dare to haul roasted peanuts as a Covid exempt load - with or without the 'relief' label on the BOL. I still get those. Last time from Bay foods out of North East Pa to Rochelle...they shipped beverages. Maybe they forgot to remove the stamp.
Perhaps, medical supplies are still legit but anything beyond that sounds like a joke.

Lmao I picked up a load of cups for McDonald’s warehouse. I was 8hrs away from delivery and had 6 on my clock.
The broker wanted to know why I couldn’t deliver it immediately because it was “essential”
I’m NOT driving over my 14 and having some ####### cause an accident and me lose my freedom over it when they label me as “fatigued, overworked or any other bs”

    TallJoe Thanks this.
