This line right here pisses me off.

"This is a common-sense proposal that will open enormous opportunities for the 18-21 year-old population, giving them access to a high-paying profession free of the debt burden that comes with a four-year degree"

######## ######## ########. I could do a huge rant here. But has anyone notticed whenever a goberment moron says "common sense" it usually translates to "bad idea"

Lower wages equals common sense. And more wrecks.

The pieces are all starting to come together....First, allow under-21 to cross state lines. Next, increase general liability minimum to 2 million. Lawyers and politicians connected to them are going to make a killing.

Well first of all I don't know that there's that many kids under 21 that are going to line up to drive a truck not smoke pot not party not hang out with their friends not drink and be alone in the truck for days at a time.

I mean we're in a generation of snowflakes now. If the world isn't handed to them as they think it should be they cry like a baby run to the corner suck their thumb and need a counselor.

Now that's not all kids obviously but seriously how many are really going to want to drive a truck come on. And do you really think that lowering the interstate age by three years is going to solve the massive driver shortage problem? Really I mean that's pretty much stupidity.

And we know for a fact according to all these brilliant studies that they do, the kids under 21 are terrible drivers. That's why teenagers have such a high insurance rate. So how not intelligent is it to say hey I've got a brilliant idea let's put kids behind the wheel that'll help...

When the government tries to come up with ideas it's almost always the stupidity of mankind...

I make 6 figures driving a truck with only a high school diploma, considerably more then most of my college educated friends. I also got my CDL at 19 and could drive a 660 mile round trip across the state but couldn’t drive 3 miles west into Kansas. What Since does that make?

The young adults willing to go through all the additional training required will actually want to drive a truck. They aren’t a burnt out adult that’s on their 7th “career”, driving a truck only because anyone can get hired at most majors.

At the very least, it's not a mandatory law. Nobody is forcing anyone to do or hire anyone. So, let it be. The teenager that wants to get out of the home can find a job, join the military, or go trucking. Sounds like me in that order, although it didn't all happen between 18-21yrs old lmfao
