I could never run with a random dude. And it took my buddy a lot to convince me to leave Estes for RL. He left first so that helped. I said I'd never ran team again. I'd do it with my wife but never again with a friend.

He dropped and hooked more I drove more miles. We both were cool with it. #### a pee jug. Lol 2 dudes go piss off dolly and slap some sanitizer on your hand and go back to bed. That's why it's too hard for 2 strangers to last teaming. On dude wants pee in a jug and never vacuum. Other guy ain't down for that.

When you have your wife and both checks go to the same bank every week I would never be in a massive hurry. I'd stop to pee. Take a break. Walk. RL has teams do that. Some husband wife teams were lucky get 4500 miles a week. By choice. Some did what we did and ran 6000-7000. Many of weeks we pushed 7200 cause RL it was never enough for themw. Got in late though.

You hit the nail on the head. I liked it at the time because it got me a schedule and a really good check. Some people really enjoy it, I am not sure if they like the money or the easy work. As soon as I could get decent work on my own I never teamed again.

Been a while since we've updated :D wife and I are still with R+L and loving every second of it. We ran wild from Feb. 1st when we started until about mid april. We've been on a dedicated bid since then. Pays well and gives us about 3hrs a night off at home and home Friday night until Monday morning 1am.

We've gotten one raise since we've been here company wide, added a little bit to our weekly checks.

Best decision we ever made in our trucking careers!

That sounds like an ideal setup.
What is your average monthly income?
Still trying to get myself together and get out there too. Thanks for any info.

About $15200 before taxes. $12000 after taxes. $1900 per a week per driver. There's ppl who make more and even we made more when we were wild. But as it is now wife and I drive 516 miles a day each, which allows us time off at the end of the night before our next load is ready to shower/workout/eat..etc. So that cut in pay is so worth it. Before we got this bid we both averaged about 620 miles a day.

    That is awesome.
Does R+L hire rookies? I have 10 years experience but have been out of trucking just as long, also I was a local driver. The wife drove a bus not a rig. All that adds up to us being rookies. What path would you follow to get in with R+l ?

    Thanks.

You guys are bringing home about $144,000 NET per year. That's some serious money. Do you guys have any big plans for the future? Like early retirement? A vacation home down in Florida or over in Europe? Pay off all your debt?

Just curious. Awesome to hear of drivers doing so good. I bet they treat you guys real good too, as I would think team drivers would be even more in demand than regular drivers since most are unwilling to run team.
